The Imperial House of DevnoH is another one of the Imperial Houses that can trace its origins back to the time of Kahless the Unforgettable. History shows the Founder of DevnoH to have been a warrior called Konruge. Stories tell us that Konruge was a distant cousin and boyhood friend of Kahless. They grew up together in the same village. As they became men, their paths parted and each went their separate ways until such a time that fate would reunite them once again. As Kahless went his own way South, Konruge went farther into the North. There he found an old and grizzled warrior called Kall’um. Kall’um led his life as a hermit, always making new weapons and mixing steel. Kall’um, though the world didn’t know it, was probably the finest weapons master and metallurgist of all time. At first he hid from Konruge or cursed him trying to drive him away. Konruge, having been an avid student of weapons, recognized the genius in Kall’um’s weapons and had decided for himself that he would learn at the feet of this great master, or die. For many nights and many days, Konruge sat outside of the cave of Kall’um never so much as uttering a word. Kall’um tried to threaten Konruge, then to frighten him, but the young warrior would not move.

Kall’um eventually decided just to ignore him and, eventually, this brat would simply go away. Day passed into night, and night into day, and still, Konruge sat silently at the mouth of the cave. This silent battle went on for two months, neither ever uttering a word, but neither ever giving up. It was on the 75^th day that, while working on a sword, Kall’um suddenly glared at Konruge and after several minutes, asked him; “What is the secret of the blade, boy?” Konruge was silent for a moment, then replied; “The blade that is forged with the fire of one’s own soul is the strongest. The more brilliant the fire, the better the blade.” Kall’um smiled, indeed the boy had been watching these last few months.

And so it was to come that the young warrior became the apprentice to Kall’um, and it was from Kall’um that Konruge actually got his name, for it means “the blood iron.” Kall’um taught Konruge all that he knew. In that time did Kall’um finally enter Sto-Vo-Kor. After Kall’um’s death, Konruge returned to the far North. Upon his arrival, he learned that Kahless had killed the tyrant Molor and was leading a crusade on Unification across the planet. Konruge joined Kahless in his quest and became Kahless’ Weapons Master. In time, Konruge became known as the finest Weapons Master of his time.

After the war (crusade) had ended, Kahless granted Konruge the honor of his own clan, and thus was House DevnoH born. Since that time, the House DevnoH has followed in the footsteps of their famous Founder. Those of House DevnoH have always excelled at the art of weapon making. It is a point of honor for them. The present Lord of this House is one Admiral Kruge zantai-DevnoH. Within the House he is known as Lord Epetai Kruge, or Lord Kruge. The House is presently open for adoption. The House allows only those of Imperial purity of race within its ranks. Only with permission of Lord Kruge, could there be one of mixed blood. Only a small percentage have been adopted into the house at present.
